The growing demands for a way to fund the ever growing site, and, more importantly, a way to purchase new material for the site makes a new funding programme necessary.
  • This is the way I have decided is best. There are a few things to keep in mind.
    • I believe that this is still in keeping with my "no advertising" policy because YOU choose whether or not to go to the new auction & sales site.
    • Because the site is now operated by a "not for profit" group, Incorporated in Queensland, Australia, there is no gain to me personally.
  • All funds generated are to be used for the purpose of expanding or supporting the web site Digger History and it's Associate sites.
  • All transactions are handled under the rules of the world's largest Internet auction house, Ebay. All safeguards are there, built in.
  • Many items are offered for a fixed price. No auction worries. See it, like it, buy it.

  • Please note the various safety measures that Ebay suggest. They are for your benefit. Internet trading can be very rewarding, all you need is a little bit of caution.
  • Please DO NOT approach me to purchase an item listed with Ebay in some "private" manner. It is against the rules and if I did that sort of thing I would lose the Ebay account and my own self respect. (Remember, I pay the fees, you don't).
  • I accept PayPal, bank cheque, Australia Post money order, personal cheque (subject to clearance, 5 days) or for sums under $15 Australian I accept Australian 50 cent stamps to the value.
    • PayPal allows you to use Visa, Master Card, Amex etc with complete safety.
    • The fees are paid by me, not by you.
      • Click to go to the PayPal site allows you to use
      • Pay in Australian dollars to avoid bank transaction fees !
      • Overseas buyers pay in US dollars or GB Pounds.
  • I do not accept cash. Please do not send any. It has a habit of going missing without trace.

The Q Store

Quartermaster, or Quarter Master (and Quartermaster Store) are the names used by armies around the world to describe the role and operations of the person or group of persons or  responsible for the gathering, control of and issue of rations, equipment and weaponry.

In the Australian Army it gets called the Q Store. It is the army's version of Woolworths, Coles Myer and  Bill's Gun Shop, all rolled into one.

Old army tale: A new soldier approaches the salty old QM Sergeant and asks for an issue of something. "Son", says the Sgt., "this is the QM Store. The Army calls it a store because we store stuff. If they wanted us to 'issue' stuff they would call it the QM Issues. Now go away".
