Queens and Regimental Colours

Queens and Regimental Colours are not available to the 57/60th Battalion because it is in truth, two Battalions linked. It came into being by linking the 57th Battalion and the 60th Battalion. Because of that the new Battalion inherited the King's and Regimental Colours of both Battalions and inherited the Battle Honours of the Great War for those Battalions.
  • Battle Honours of the 57/60th Australian Infantry Battalion
    • South West Pacific 1943/45
    • Liberation of Australian New Guinea
    • Bogadjim
    • Finisterres
    • Hongorai River
    • Commando Road
    • Hari River
    • Ogorata River
    • Mobiai River
    • Mivo River

Australian Army Order No 135, December 28, 1961.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II graciously approved that the Battle Honours for WWII be emblazoned on the Sovereign's Colour.
