Here the "brave Australians & New Zealanders" with "wonderful dash" are more than a match for the Turks who are "fine fighters". They have captured Sari Bair Hill.

In fact the "hill" was a range. And it was never "captured".

Corporal Bassett did in fact win a VC for work as a signaller. It was at Chunuk Bair.

However it must have come as a surprise to him to find out that he was Australian.

Having been born and raised in New Zealand and serving in a New Zealand unit in the NZEF, he thought that he was a New Zealander.

Wow. Here we have "Tiny" a little short bloke that somehow snuck into the tallest fighting unit Australia has ever fielded. He can't see over the parapet.

So he does what any little Private would do in those circumstances. He climbs on the back of his Officer so he can take pot shots at the Turk. Yeah, right...

This card "proves" that the Turk is not honourable.

He actually bit this Officer on the hand. Can you believe it?

However the "honourable" Australian is able to extract a knife and stab the beastly enemy in the heart.

Thankfully our brave troops, have their quick wits so no matter how clever the Turks are with their wonderful intelligence they are "accounted for".

Round of applause please.
