Location Information: The British cemetery is about 1.5 kilometres out of the town on the Dam Road, and lies a short distance north of the eastern end of the dam.
Historical Information: Aswan was a garrison town and this civil cemetery was first used for service burials in the 1880s. There is one First World War burial in the cemetery, 21 from the Second World War and two Belgian war graves. The Commission also cares for the 244 non war graves in the cemetery.
