- The London Regiment raised over 80
battalions, all Territorial Force (militia) as it had no regular
army battalions nor any New Army battalions. It formed 4 entire
Divisions. As a result there were many badges. The Regiment
fought with great distinction on the Western Front, Gallipoli and in
Palestine.
