This dramatic illustration was taken at night, towards late August, early September, 1971. It is looking over the village of Cam My from Battalion Headquarters at Courtney Hill. The photo was taken by Private A. Garton during a VC/North Vietnamese Army attack on the 177 Regional Forces Compound on the outskirts of Cam My, beginning at approximately 0200 hours and concluding about 0800 hours, when the enemy finally withdrew. |
